Quality Control Laboratory Technician

Quality Control Laboratory TechnicianAs a Quality Control Laboratory Technician, you will be responsible for completing 3D scans as requested, preparing parts for scanning, and working closely with analysts to ensure timely completion of all necessary scans. You will also conduct demonstrations, support the development of new fixturing and measurement techniques, and manage the coordination of all projects in the scan lab.ResponsibilitiesComplete 3D scans as required.Prepare parts for scanning, including targeting and spray painting.Communicate and work closely with analysts to ensure timely completion of scans.Conduct demonstrations and project a helpful presence in the lab.Support the development of new fixturing and measurement techniques.Define each scanning project, including needed scans and reports.Obtain required CAD data for analysis.Coordinate all projects in the scan lab, including scheduling and reporting.Keep the lab clean and organized.Execute the calibration of lab scanners.Essential SkillsQuality control and dimensional control expertise.Experience with CMM (Coordinate Measuring Machine).Proficiency in CAD systems and/or manipulation of 3D CAD data.Computer proficiency with the ability to learn and use multiple software programs.Strong communication skills to conduct tours for various groups.Excellent teamwork skills and the ability to work independently.Ability to balance priorities in a high-stress environment.Capability to diagnose and communicate machine faults to technicians.Additional Skills & QualificationsCollege degree desired, preferably in a technical field.3D scanning experience is preferred.Metrology experience, including gage design, CMM programming, and Six Sigma data analysis.Experience with CREO and Windchill programs is helpful.Why Work Here?Embrace the opportunity to work in a forward-thinking environment that values innovation and quality. Coordinate with Quality, Advanced Manufacturing, Production, and Engineering departments to scan defective parts, establish quality standards, and improve quality testing procedures.
