Vice President OF Operations

The client is seeking a strategic Vice President of Operations to lead and scale operations across its national footprint of commercial landscaping branches. This executive role is responsible for driving operational excellence, improving margins, enhancing safety performance, and ensuring consistent service delivery. The successful candidate will partner closely with the executive team to execute growth initiatives, standardize best practices, and develop high-performing leadership teams across regions and branches. This position is suited for a proven operations leader with extensive experience in commercial landscaping, facilities services, or similar fields involving labor-intensive and multi-site operations. Key responsibilities include leading day-to-day operations across various regions and branches to ensure consistent company standards, enhancing efficiency and profitability across different service areas, and establishing KPIs for safety, quality, labor efficiency, and customer satisfaction. The role also encompasses owning operational PandL performance, developing and executing annual plans, implementing cost-control initiatives, and fostering a strong safety culture. Furthermore, the VP will spearhead leadership development, succession planning, and talent retention, while standardizing processes and supporting MandA integration. Qualifications include over ten years of progressive operational leadership experience in commercial landscaping, with a track record of leading large, geographically dispersed teams. The candidate should demonstrate strong financial acumen, experience managing multi-million-dollar PandLs, and the ability to drive operational improvements and scalable growth. Experience in acquisitions and integrations is preferred, along with a bachelor's degree; an MBA or advanced degree is a plus. The role requires willingness to travel regularly on a national scope.
