Altru Health System is seeking a BC/BE Vascular Surgeon to join our expanding cardiovascular team in Grand Forks, ND. With our new Hospital and Heart & Vascular Center opened in 2025, this is an exceptional opportunity to step into a growing, fully integrated program supported by advanced technology and a highly collaborative care team.

Team & Support:

Work alongside a comprehensive cardiovascular team, including:

• Extensive APP support
• General, Interventional, and EP Cardiologists
• Cardiothoracic and Vascular Surgeons

Position Details:

Designated OR time in our brand-new Hybrid OR

Telephone call, with minimal on-site requirements

Call responsibilities: 5 weekday calls per month + 2 weekend days, with additional compensation if exceeded

Required Procedures:

• EVAR
• Angiography with endovascular intervention
• TCAR
• Open aortic surgery
• Peripheral procedures

Essential Job Functions:

• Evaluates, provides diagnosis and treatment of patients
• Counsels patients and advises on preventative healthcare measures
• Exercises Doctor's own judgment in the diagnosis and treatment of patients
• Achieve the Altru Health System Patient Engagement and Quality & Safety goals
• Maintain accurate and timely documentation ensuring quality patient care
• Performs other duties as assigned

Qualifications:

• Doctorate within specified field of medical practice from respective accredited school
• Board Eligible/Board Certified in Vascular Surgery
• Legally licensed to practice medicine in North Dakota and/or Minnesota

This position requires proficiency in reading, writing, and speaking English to ensure effective communication in the workplace and with patients, families, and team members.
