About the Position

Description

We are seeking a skilled Cardiothoracic Surgeon for a locum tenens opportunity in Grand Forks, ND. The physician will provide primarily inpatient coverage with both inpatient and outpatient responsibilities preferred.

Job Responsibilities

• Provide cardiothoracic surgical coverage and inpatient care
• Perform 1–2 surgeries Monday–Friday, depending on patient needs
• Provide inpatient rounding and 24-hour call coverage
• Conduct outpatient consultations in the afternoons after surgery
• Collaborate with CT Surgery APPs, LPNs, RNs, and full OR staff

Working Hours

• Coverage: September 25 – October 2, 2026
• Orientation: September 24, 2026
• Schedule: 7:00 AM – 7:00 AM
• 24-hour call coverage throughout the assignment
• Primarily inpatient coverage; both inpatient and outpatient coverage preferred

Skills

• CABG
• Valve repair/replacement
• Pericardial window
• Lung resection
• Vascular surgeries, including endarterectomies

Requirements

• Board Certified
• American Board Certification, AOA Board Certification, or Canadian Board Certification with membership in the Royal College of Physicians or Royal College of Surgeons
• Doctorate in the respective field from an accredited institution
• Strong experience in cardiothoracic surgery
