Your Key Responsibilities
  • Performing thorough patient assessments, ordering necessary diagnostic tests, and establishing customized care plans
  • Diagnosing and managing acute, episodic, or chronic health conditions either independently or collaboratively with physicians (depending on credentials)
  • Educating patients and their families about health promotion, illness prevention, and effective disease management
  • Prescribing medications and treatments in line with your practice scope
  • Engaging in patient follow-up and chronic care coordination
  • Collaborating with interdisciplinary teams to guarantee comprehensive, integrated care
  • Maintaining precise documentation in electronic medical records (EMR)
Qualifications to Consider
  • Master of Science in Nursing (MSN) or a Doctor of Nursing Practice (DNP)
  • Graduation from a recognized Nurse Practitioner program
Certifications Required
  • A current Nurse Practitioner license in the state of Texas
  • National certification as a Family Nurse Practitioner (FNP-C, AANP or ANCC) or a relevant specialty
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certifications (or the ability to obtain them within 90 days)
