The Developmental Assistant assists Infant Learning staff and families with intake/enrollment processes, obtaining/providing necessary records, and support during home and community visits. **Essential Functions and Tasks:*** Understand, practice, and promote the vision and core values of Mat-Su Services for Children & Adults.* Database entry and record reviews.* Child charts – creation, maintenance, review/audit, archiving, destruction* Assist Data Compliance Specialist to complete record and signature requests, including requests for State and Federal audits* Forms and packets (electronic and hard copy) – creation, maintenance, review* Clerical support* Assist with screening, assessing, and evaluating the performance of children, ages birth to age three, in areas of gross motor, fine motor, cognitive, social/emotional, language and self-help skills.* Assist with contacting referrals, scheduling evaluations, and gathering intake information, adhering to timelines set by the mandates governing the program.* Assist with preparation of child transition lists for Mat-Su Borough School District.* Perform duties in a manner that promotes health and safety and HIPAA/FERPA compliance.* Ensure compliance with required annual training and certifications.* Other duties as assigned.## Qualifications**Education*** High school diploma or equivalent.* 3-6 credits in Child Development or related field.* Associate’s degree in business administration or related field preferred.* CDA preferred.**Experience*** 3+ years of secretarial, clerical, data entry, or related office experience, or equivalent vocational or technical training.* Experience with web-based database systems.* Experience with client tracking and chart auditing.* Experience reading, interpreting, and applying governmental regulations.* Experience with Medicaid and other forms of billing preferred.
