The Store Manager is responsible for the overall operation and performance of Go Culture Café. This person will oversee the team, hiring and training, scheduling, inventory, ordering, café standards, customer experience, and daily operations.

We’re looking for someone who is organized, reliable, proactive, detail oriented, and comfortable taking ownership. This is a hands-on management position, you should be equally comfortable leading the team, training a new employee, placing an inventory order, jumping behind the bar during a rush, or solving an operational issue.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage the overall day-to-day operations of the café.
• Lead, supervise, motivate, and support the Go Culture team.
• Recruit, interview, hire, onboard, and train new employees.
• Develop employees through ongoing coaching, feedback, and training.
• Create a positive, professional, accountable, and healthy team culture.
• Create and manage employee schedules while maintaining appropriate staffing levels.
• Ensure opening, closing, cleaning, food safety, and operational procedures are consistently followed.
• Maintain high standards for drink quality, presentation, speed, cleanliness, and customer service.
• Monitor inventory levels and ensure the café remains fully stocked.
• Place vendor and supply orders and handle necessary shopping and product pickups for the café.
• Manage café supplies, ingredients, packaging, merchandise, cleaning products, and other operational inventory.
• Monitor product usage, waste, and overall inventory costs.
• Work directly with vendors and suppliers as needed.
• Ensure recipes, portions, preparation methods, and presentation standards are followed consistently.
• Oversee employee performance, attendance, punctuality, and adherence to company policies.
• Address employee concerns and operational issues professionally and promptly.
• Maintain an organized, clean, welcoming, and customer-ready café at all times.
• Handle customer concerns and ensure guests receive an excellent experience.
• Identify opportunities to improve efficiency, service, training, and overall café operations.
• Communicate regularly with ownership regarding staffing, inventory, maintenance, performance, and other operational needs.
• Take ownership of the café and ensure operations continue to run smoothly even when ownership is not on-site.

Qualifications

Previous café, coffee shop, restaurant, hospitality, or retail management experience is strongly preferred. The ideal candidate has experience managing employees, hiring and training staff, scheduling, inventory management, ordering, and customer service.

Most importantly, we’re looking for someone who genuinely enjoys leadership and understands how to build a team. This person should be dependable, solution-oriented, comfortable making decisions, attentive to details, and willing to lead by example.

The ideal Store Manager treats the café as if it were their own, taking pride in the team, the space, the customer experience, and the success of Go Culture Café.

Pay: $45,000.00 - $50,000.00 per year
