Athletic Trainer Position
EXPERIENCE/TRAINING/EDUCATION: Any combination equivalent to:
Letter of interest, attention Mark Miller, Assistant Superintendent of Human Resources
A current resume
Three letters of recommendation dated within the last three months
EDUCATION: Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university in athletic training, health, physical education, kinesiology, or a related field.
EXPERIENCE: One year of professional experience in athletic training, physical therapy, or a related field.
LICENSES AND OTHER REQUIREMENTS:
- Certification as a Certified Athletic Trainer from the National Athletic Trainers Association Board of Certification (NATABOC)
- Valid First Aid and CPR certification from an authorized agency
- Possession of a valid California Driver's License at time of appointment and throughout employment in this classification; evidence of adequate insurance for motor vehicles which meets the California legal liability insurance requirement and continual insurance coverage throughout employment
Effective 7.1.2025: 2025-2026: Salary schedule increase of 2% and a 2% off-schedule payment at year-end. 20262027: Salary schedule increase of 60% of the statutory funded COLA, plus any funded ongoing augmentations as provided in the State Budget Act; 2% off-schedule payment at year-end. 20272028: Salary schedule increase of 50% of the statutory funded COLA, plus any funded ongoing augmentations as provided in the State Budget Act; 2% off-schedule payment at year-end
