Territory coverage includes geography in the following states: Nevada, Arizona, and New Mexico. Position Summary IDEAYA is seeking Senior Oncology Account Managers (OAM) to join our Commercial team. The Senior Oncology Account Manager [OAM] serves as a strategic territory leader within a designated geographic region with responsibility for leading the launch and adoption of darovasertib within their assigned geography. The individual will act as a key conduit of clinical, scientific, and market intelligence related to darovasertib in uveal melanoma. This role blends advanced scientific acumen with sophisticated account leadership to drive appropriate awareness and adoption within complex academic, community, and referral‑based ecosystems. The Senior OAM operates with a high degree of autonomy, managing the most strategically important accounts and serving as a trusted partner to multidisciplinary healthcare stakeholders across the treatment landscape. Through disciplined planning and enterprise collaboration, the Senior OAM builds durable relationships, activates referral pathways, and contributes meaningfully to regional and national commercial strategy. They will effectively balance outstanding execution in targeted, high‑volume accounts with the need to ensure every patient can be considered for a new therapeutic option. The Senior OAM consistently adheres to internal policies and regulatory requirements while maintaining deep expertise in disease state management, evolving clinical data, the product package insert, and access considerations. Job Description What you’ll do Demonstrate and maintain advanced knowledge of uveal melanoma, tumor biology, emerging clinical data, the competitive environment, and darovasertib’s mechanism of action Independently develop and execute sophisticated territory and ecosystem‑level account strategies to drive appropriate product utilization Leverage scientific knowledge and executive presence to cultivate peer‑level relationships with leading academic oncologists, ocular specialists, and multidisciplinary stakeholders Translate complex clinical data into clear, compliant, and compelling product education tailored to each stakeholder Execute pre‑launch and launch strategies in alignment with national brand objectives Identify, activate, and optimize referral networks across the patient journey Partner strategically with Medical Affairs, Value & Access, and Patient Services to optimally support complex accounts Act as the voice of the customer, delivering actionable insights to key internal stakeholders informing brand strategy, lifecycle planning, and future launch readiness Effectively utilize multiple sources of analytics and performance data to optimize resource deployment and account prioritization and adapt execution plans accordingly Adherence to all administrative requirements, including budget management, expense report management, CRM call reporting and synchronization, etc., within required timelines and company guidelines Ensure all promotional activities adhere to regulatory and ethical standards Travel: ~80% Requirements Bachelor’s degree in business, biological sciences, or related discipline Minimum 10 years pharmaceutical sales related experience; minimum 5+ years oncology sales experience Proven success launching a first‑in‑class or specialty oncology product in the US Experience in rare disease, orphan oncology, or highly specialized markets strongly preferred Demonstrated ability to engage in high‑level scientific dialogue with academic healthcare professionals Possess comprehensive understanding of the reimbursement process and fulfillment pathways for oral oncolytics and ability to partner internally and externally to support patient access to IDEAYA’s therapies Proven track record managing complex, high‑impact academic and community oncology accounts Strong analytic, strategic planning, and organizational skills High degree of autonomy, accountability, and professionalism Patient‑centric mindset grounded in integrity and scientific rigor Overnight travel corresponding to territory size and needs, including occasional evening and weekend work for conferences Residence within assigned geographic region Core Competencies Scientific Credibility: Comfortable discussing complex mechanisms of action, clinical endpoints, and patient needs in an accessible and differentiated way Complex Selling Capability: Skilled at multi‑stakeholder engagement in a complex disease state Collaboration: Thrives in cross‑functional partnership within a lean organization Analytical Rigor: Uses data to drive prioritization and resource allocation Patient‑Centric Mindset: Keeps patient needs at the heart of every decision Execution Excellence: Delivers results with urgency, agility, quality, and compliance Total Rewards Along with our inspiring mission, and highly collaborative and inclusive environment, IDEAYA offers a competitive total rewards package that reflects our pay‑for‑performance philosophy where employees are eligible to be considered for merit‑based salary increases, company discretionary short‑term incentive plan participation, and company discretionary stock option awards (based on board approval). The expected salary range for the role of Senior Oncology Account Manager is $187,000 - $231,000. The final salary offered to a successful candidate will depend on several factors that may include but are not limited to the office location where this open position is located, the final candidates’ experience within their profession, experience in the disease areas we are striving to make an impact in as a company, length of time within the industry, educational background, and performance during the interview process.
