Job Location and Details Location: UCHealth Eastview Medical Center, Colorado Springs, CO Department: EV ASC OR All Specialties Work Schedule: Full Time, 80.00 hours per pay period (2 weeks) Shift: Days Pay: $27.61 - $41.41 / hour. Pay is dependent on applicant's relevant experience Type: This position is onsite only. No hybrid or remote option. Job Overview Facilitates the safe and efficient performance of surgical procedures. Responsibilities Prepares surgical operating suite with drapes, solutions, instruments, equipment and supplies. Ensures good working order of equipment and instruments. Assists with preparing, transporting, positioning and draping patients. Passes instruments to physician during surgery. Continually accounts for number and location of instruments and supplies during surgery. Receives and processes specimens for delivery to the laboratory. Within scope of job, requires critical thinking skills, decisive judgement and the ability to work with minimal supervision. Must be able to work in a fast-paced environment and take appropriate action. Requirements Education: Minimum High School diploma or GED or Military trained. Licensure/Certification: State Surgical Assistant or Surgical Technologist registration. Basic Life Support (BLS) Healthcare Provider. Experience: Minimum 6 months Surgical Tech experience or graduate of an accredited Surgical Tech program. BLS/CPR: BLS through the American Heart Association or the American Red Cross CPR for the Professional Rescuer with card in-hand before start date.
