Contract Bookkeeper

Garcoa, Inc. is seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Contract Bookkeeper to handle core transaction processing and administrative record-keeping on an as-needed basis. This position focuses on day-to-day invoice processing, data entry, and documentation management during busy periods or specific project cycles. Responsibilities Enter and process accounts payable invoices and log vendor payments Prepare customer invoices, process incoming receipts, and record payments Maintain organized digital and physical filing systems for invoices, receipts, and supporting documents Assist with inventory transaction entries, count adjustments, and record updates Gather data and documentation for sales tax filings and compliance needs Research and resolve vendor or customer account discrepancies efficiently Perform routine data entry, ledger maintenance, and administrative tasks as assigned Maintain sku pricing and BOM database Reconcile bank and credit cards statements Skills 3+ years of bookkeeping or data entry experience (contract or freelance experience a plus) Proficiency in accounting software (Sage 50 preferred; Sage 100 or similar ERP systems a plus) Basic understanding of transaction processing and general ledger data entry Proficiency in Microsoft Excel (data entry, basic formulas, sorting, and filtering) Ability to work independently, manage project deadlines, and adapt quickly to established processes Exceptional attention to detail, accuracy, and reliability Prior experience in a manufacturing, distribution, or inventory-based company Familiarity with accounts payable and accounts receivable documentation standards Company Overview Manufacturer of Consumer Product Goods It was founded in 1983, and is headquartered in Calabasas, California, USA, with a workforce of 201-500 employees.
