Develops theories for understanding, characterizing and organizing natural phenomena into a systematic and meaningful pattern for the benefit of project advancement and emerging technologies. May participate in intellectual property evaluations and development of patent applications. May coordinate interdepartmental activities and research efforts.Specific ResponsibilitiesThe Low Observable (RCS) engineer will be responsible for supporting test events, data evaluation and analysis, and working across interdisciplinary teams to ensure signature requirements are met on development and sustainment objectives. Responsibilities will include but are not limited to:Support ATF Signature Acceptance Testing & performance of radar cross section (RCS) diagnostics to include generation of aircraft acceptance & failure reports.Collaboration with team members to analyze RCS test data and deliver technical presentations to customers and stakeholders.Evaluate configuration change impacts to RCS and represent signature IPT in projects related to both development and sustainment initiatives.Perform computational electromagnetics (CEM) predictions and use the predicted changes to inform design decisions.Interface with government customers, internal stakeholders and supplier teams while communicating technical details to relevant senior leadership.Basic QualificationsBachelor's Degree or above in one of the following fields: Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Physics and/or technically related degree.U.S. Citizenship RequiredAbility to obtain Secret Security Clearance Desired SkillsRadar Cross Section Test Experience and/or (I)SAR imagingKnowledge of the F-35 or F-22 airframe design and coating materials/methodsProficiency in MATLAB codingComputer Aided Design (CAD) ExperienceProficiency in Microsoft Office ProductsDemonstrated experience presenting deeply technical work to a variety of audienceActive Secret Clearance preferredPay InformationFull-Time Salary Range: $81100.00 - $150500.00At Lockheed Martin, we know mission success starts with taking care of our people.
