Role Description The Registered Professional Land Surveyor is a full-time, on-site role located in Childress, TX. This role is responsible for planning and performing land and topographic surveys, coordinating field crews, and ensuring accurate data collection using total stations and related surveying equipment. Daily tasks include conducting boundary and building surveys, preparing survey maps and reports, reviewing legal descriptions, and verifying measurements for structural and civil engineering projects. The surveyor collaborates with engineers and project managers, interprets plans and specifications, and ensures that all work complies with relevant state regulations and professional standards. Additional responsibilities include maintaining equipment, managing project documentation, and supporting quality control for all survey deliverables. Qualifications Strong proficiency in Land Surveying and Surveying, with demonstrated ability to perform boundary, construction, and control surveys. Experience with Topographic Surveys, including data collection, terrain modeling, and preparation of topographic maps for design use. Hands-on experience operating Total Station equipment and related instruments, including setup, calibration, and data management. Background in Building Surveying, including measurement verification, layout for structures, and coordination with structural engineering teams. Current registration as a Professional Land Surveyor (or equivalent state license) or eligibility to obtain licensure within a defined timeframe. Strong understanding of survey standards, applicable state and local regulations, and best practices for safety and quality control. Proficiency with surveying software and CAD tools for processing field data and preparing survey drawings and reports. Effective communication skills and ability to work collaboratively with field crews, engineers, and clients.
