The Assistant Property Manager provides administrative and operational support to the Property Manager and assists with the day-to-day management of the property. This position requires strong organizational skills, excellent customer service, attention to detail, and the ability to work effectively with residents, vendors, and staff.

Minimum Qualifications:

• Minimum of 5 years of experience in property management, leasing, or a related housing field .
• Strong computer skills and the ability to learn and effectively use property management software.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Professional and courteous customer service skills.
• Ability to work independently, prioritize tasks, and maintain confidentiality.

Primary Responsibilities:

• Assist the Property Manager with the daily operation and administration of the property.
• Assist prospective residents with apartment leasing, including answering inquiries, explaining admission requirements, showing apartments, processing applications, and assisting with lease paperwork.
• Respond to resident questions, concerns, and requests in a professional and timely manner.
• Answer and direct incoming telephone calls and respond to emails and other correspondence.
• Prepare, type, and distribute resident letters, notices, forms, and other property-related correspondence.
• Receive, document, and follow up on resident maintenance and service requests; enter and track work orders in the property management system.
• Utilize property management software for resident records, work orders, leasing activities, data entry, and other administrative functions.
• Perform accurate data entry and maintain current and accurate resident and property records.
• Maintain organized files, including resident files, correspondence, applications, leases, work orders, and other property documents.
• Assist with rent collection, resident account inquiries, notices, and other administrative functions as directed by the Property Manager.
• Assist with inspections, resident communications, and other property management activities as needed.
• Maintain a professional, welcoming, and organized office environment.
• Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned by the Property Manager or Management Company.

Essential Skills:
The successful candidate will demonstrate excellent customer service, strong communication and writing skills, computer proficiency, attention to detail, organization, dependability, and the ability to interact professionally with residents and the public. Experience with property management software and apartment leasing is required.
