Position Title: CNC Set up Machinist/Programmer

Wage: $30.00-$38.00 per hour

Shift: 1st

Hours: 6:30am-2:30pm (Mon-Fri)

QPS Employment Group is looking for an experienced CNC Setup Machinist to join a growing job shop in the Ixonia area. This is a hands-on role for a skilled machinist who takes pride in precision work, understands G and M code, and can make on-the-fly edits to ensure quality and accuracy.

CNC Set up Machinist/Programmer Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- Set up and operate CNC machines according to production requirements.
- Read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and work instructions.
- Make program edits using G and M code to improve part quality or process efficiency.
- Perform quality checks using precision measuring tools such as calipers, micrometers, and gauges.
- Troubleshoot setup and machining issues, maintaining optimal machine performance.
- Work collaboratively with team members in a job shop environment to meet production goals.

CNC Set up Machinist/Programmer Requirements:
- 3+ years of CNC machining and setup experience preferred.
- Strong knowledge of G and M code; ability to make edits independently.
- Programming experience is a plus but not required.
- Proficient in blueprint reading and use of precision measuring instruments.
- Detail-oriented with a commitment to quality and continuous improvement.
- Reliable and punctual with a strong work ethic.
