Vineyard Manager

Job Description:

Tri-Valley Vineyard Management is a vineyard management company working primarily in the Healdsburg, Geyserville area. We’re seeking a very organized and motivated Vineyard Manager to join our management team. This position will be hands-on, working together with other vineyard managers overseeing the day-to-day management operations and development of multiple vineyards.

Key Responsibilities of this position:
•  Ensure that the day-to-day vineyard operations are completed safely and efficiently within our production and quality goals, understanding the importance of leadership, teamwork and respect.
•  Work closely with vineyard staff to coordinate activities of labor crews, equipment operators and other related personnel.
•  Help schedule spray applications.
•  Help schedule irrigation and fertilization applications.
•  Oversee the development and implementation of short- and long-term planning.
•  Monitor vine development to ensure that fruit quality and production are achieved.
•  Oversee the management of workforce training and performance.
•  Oversee the implementation of safety and compliance programs.
•  Promote the evolution and advancement of our operations.

Must have experience with the following:
•  Managing multiple vineyard labor crews.
•  Vineyard safety and compliance.
•  Operation of wheel tractors, crawlers and other farm equipment.
•  Basic tractor repair & maintenance.
•  Basic farm equipment repair & maintenance.
•  Cultivation and mowing of vineyards
•  Scheduling and application of fungicides, herbicides and pesticides. PCA or QAL a plus.
•  Trellis installation and maintenance.
•  Irrigation scheduling, operation, installation and maintenance.
•  Frost protection and irrigation of vineyards.
•  Planting, pruning, tying and training of grapevines.
•  Vineyard harvesting.
•  Training of personnel.
•  Keeping all valid records of vineyard operations.

Requirements:
•  A minimum of five (5) years hands-on experience in all phases of viticulture, vineyard management and development.
•  Good planning and organizational skills, including budgeting responsibility.
•  Ability to determine the most efficient and effective use of personnel and equipment in order to meet quality standards.
•  Good written and oral communication skills.
•  Computer literate with proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word & Outlook).
•  Ability to manage changing priorities while maintaining a positive attitude.
•  Proficiency in Spanish/basic English
•  Ability to perform physically demanding tasks.
•  Ability to work outdoors in changing weather conditions.
•  Willingness to drive to various vineyard locations in Sonoma County.
•  Ability to work a flexible schedule, including weekends, holidays, seasonal night duties, and periodic overtime.
•  Willingness to assist company directors with other duties as assigned.
•  Must have a valid CA Driver’s License, with clean DMV record. CDL a plus.

Salary Information:
Company offers competitive salary and excellent benefits
Salary Range: $85,000 to $135,000
