Registered Nurse - Emergency Room

Job Summary:
The ER Clinical Nurse is a registered professional nurse responsible for delivering high-quality, safe, and compassionate care to emergency department patients. They work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team to assess, plan, and implement patient care based on evidence-based practices and organizational standards.

Responsibilities:

• Provide comprehensive emergency nursing care to adult and pediatric patients, utilizing critical thinking and clinical judgment.
• Assess patient needs upon arrival, prioritize care, and develop individualized care plans.
• Collaborate effectively with the interdisciplinary team to coordinate patient treatment and ensure seamless transitions of care.
• Educate patients and families about their conditions, treatment plans, and discharge instructions, addressing their concerns empathetically.
• Document all patient interactions accurately and thoroughly in compliance with regulatory and hospital standards.
• Engage in continuous quality improvement activities, including evidence-based practice initiatives and safety protocols.

Qualifications:

• Valid NYS RN license with current BLS and ACLS certifications.
• Minimum of 2 years of emergency medicine experience for adults and/or pediatrics.
• Preferred experience with EPIC electronic health records and trauma care.
• Certifications such as TNCC, ENPC, or CEN are a plus.
• Demonstrate strong clinical skills, critical thinking, and effective communication abilities.
