Senior ServiceNow Developer - ITAM

Salary: $83,000 - 123,000 per year Requirements:

• We require a bachelors degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Business Administration, or a related field, along with at least five years of professional experience in ServiceNow development, administration, application development, IT asset management, or a similar discipline; equivalent experience may be considered in place of formal education.
• We need a strong command of ServiceNow development and configuration principles, concepts, and techniques.
• We seek hands-on experience with ServiceNow application development, scripting, workflow automation, integrations, CMDB design and hierarchy, data management, reporting, dashboards, testing, and deployment.
• Experience with ServiceNow ITSM, ITAM, Software Asset Management, Hardware Asset Management, Configuration Management, or related applications is strongly preferred.
• We expect the ability to organize, plan, schedule, and coordinate work to meet project milestones and deadlines.

• We develop, configure, document, code, test, debug, and maintain ServiceNow applications, modules, workflows, and related solutions that support asset management, service management, reporting, and business needs.
• We build and maintain capabilities for software asset management, hardware asset management, configuration management, procurement, licensing, renewals, deployment, maintenance, and retirement.
• We analyze business and technical requirements and translate them into ServiceNow designs, technical specifications, CMDB data models and hierarchy, forms, catalog items, workflows, reports, dashboards, and automated processes.
• We create and maintain ServiceNow scripts and configurations, including business rules, client scripts, UI policies, script includes, access controls, notifications, data policies, and other platform components.
• We design and support interfaces between ServiceNow and enterprise, ERP, procurement, directory, financial, legacy, and other connected systems, including data imports, exports, transformations, integrations, and troubleshooting.
• We deliver solutions for break/fix tickets, enhancement releases, platform improvements, and assigned projects, including unit testing, system testing, debugging, deployment, and post-implementation support.
• We maintain the ServiceNow asset management database and associated records, including data input, updates, validation, reconciliation, and information linked to requisition, procurement, receiving, deployment, licensing, maintenance, inventory, and retirement.
• We develop workflows and automated processes for software and hardware requests, approvals, purchase orders, renewals, license assignments, audits, incidents, tasks, and other operational activities.
• We conduct software license reviews, virtual and physical audits, data quality checks, and compliance assessments, using reports and dashboards to identify gaps, recommend corrective actions, and track resolution.
• We ensure our ServiceNow solutions and related programs meet compliance, reporting, security, privacy, access control, and company standards, while recommending improvements to architecture, development practices, and system standards.
• We develop, recommend, and implement policies, procedures, and standards for ServiceNow development, configuration management, asset management, license compliance, data quality, testing, release management, integrations, and platform support.
• We prepare periodic and ad hoc reports and dashboards covering asset utilization, license availability, compliance, renewal, procurement, service, and system performance.
• We support ServiceNow upgrades, releases, application maintenance, testing, documentation, and deployment activities.
• We manage inquiries related to ServiceNow functionality, software and hardware requests, non-standard purchases, renewals, usage, deployment, license availability, vendor audits, and related processes, and may serve as a primary contact for suppliers and vendors.
• We provide licensing education, ServiceNow process guidance, training, and direction to internal customers and less experienced staff, including baseline ITAM process documentation for the team to expand operationally.

We are seeking a Senior ServiceNow Developer with a strong ITAM focus for a one-year hybrid engagement supporting high-visibility project work. This role is based in San Diego, specifically in the Rancho Bernardo/Poway area, and will be embedded with our internal DevOps and Engineering team under one of our technical managers. The position is intended to help us accelerate progress toward pressing year-end and Q1 timelines while supporting ServiceNow solutions across asset management, service management, compliance, reporting, integrations, and platform improvements.
