Registered Nurse - Med Surg Float Pool

Assignment Duration

This is a 16-week contract position.

Schedule

Nights - 12-hour shifts: 7 PM to 7 AM / 7 AM to 7 PM with night/day rotation. 36 hours per week, including one weekend shift per week or two weekend shifts every other weekend. Candidates must work at least one holiday per contract.

Job Description

As a Registered Nurse in the Med Surg Float Pool, you will be responsible for providing high-quality patient care in a variety of Med Surg Tele units. Flexibility is essential, as you will float between units based on staffing needs.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care in accordance with established standards and protocols.
• Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by the physician.
• Monitor patient conditions and report any changes to the healthcare team.
• Assist with patient education and discharge planning.
• Ensure a safe and clean environment for patients and staff.
• Participate in interdisciplinary team meetings and contribute to care plans.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• 2 years of recent experience in acute medical-surgical/telemetry nursing within a hospital setting.
• Active New York RN license.
• AHA BLS certification.
• For non-U.S. candidates, a minimum of 2 years of work experience in the U.S. is required.
