MKCI is a comprehensive civil defense litigation firm with a track record of successfully defending clients in high-stakes cases across various products liability/toxic tort and general liability matters, including claims related to asbestos and talc, premises liability, transportation, public entities, construction defects, labor law, insurance coverage, and environmental issues. We are seeking a mid to senior level attorney to join our Hartford, CT office. Responsibilities Include: Attend/appear on behalf of clients during depositions and court appearances. Draft legal documents including pleadings, motions, and discovery demands/responses. Trial preparation and opportunity for first or second chair trial role. Communicate with clients, opposing counsel, and other parties involved in legal matters. Collaborate with colleagues on case strategy and management. Conduct legal research and analysis. Qualifications: Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school. Admitted to practice in the state of Connecticut required. Minimum of 7 years of civil defense litigation experience required. Superior analytical skills. Strong written and oral communication skills. Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines. Detail-oriented with a high level of accuracy. Strong worth ethic and commitment to client service.
