Medical Practice Representative II (Front Desk / Patient Access)

Location: Lutherville, MD (On-site)

Job Type: Contract-to-Hire (6 months)

Pay: $20.00 – $22.50/hour

Start Date: July 6, 2026

About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Medical Practice Representative II to support a busy, high-volume outpatient practice. This role is ideal for a seasoned front desk professional who can step in quickly, provide excellent patient service, and support daily clinic operations with minimal ramp-up time. You will be responsible for managing patient flow, handling scheduling, and supporting administrative functions while delivering a high level of customer service in a fast-paced medical environment.

⏰ Schedule

• Must be available between 7:45 AM – 5:30 PM
• 8-hour shift assigned within that window
• 30-minute lunch break
• Schedule set in advance

Key Responsibilities

• Greet and check in/out patients
• Schedule appointments and procedures
• Prepare and manage patient charts
• Answer high-volume phone lines
• Handle referrals, authorizations, and insurance verification
• Accurately document patient information
• Provide excellent customer service at all times
• Support front office operations in a busy practice

✅ Required Qualifications

• High school diploma required
• 2–3+ years of recent medical office experience (front desk, patient registration, or similar)
• Hands-on EPIC experience is REQUIRED
• Strong customer service and communication skills
• Ability to multitask in a fast-paced, high-volume environment
• Experience with insurance verification and pre-authorization processes
• Comfortable working in a team-based setting

⭐ Preferred Qualifications

• Dermatology experience
• Experience in a multi-specialty practice
• Strong knowledge of medical terminology
• Patient scheduling and access experience

Work Environment

• On-site role in a busy, high-volume practice
• Team-oriented environment with strong operational expectations
• Professional appearance required ( plain-colored scrubs )

• Ideal candidate is a seasoned professional who can quickly ramp up and support the team
• Opportunity to train alongside a departing lead resource for knowledge transfer

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Lutherville, MD.

The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $22.50/hr.
