Key Responsibilities of the Emergency Department Registered Nurse

• Provide comprehensive care to patients: newborns, pediatrics, adults, geriatrics
• Administer transfusions and manage specialized equipment such as Rapid Infuser and Arctic Sun
• Manage patient symptoms for stroke, sepsis, trauma, cardiac arrest, and respiratory failure
• Prepare and administer required drips and medications effectively and safely
• Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to provide optimal patient care

Requirements of the Emergency Department Registered Nurse

• Active New York RN License with NURSYS verification
• Minimum 2+ years ED experience with pediatrics, including documented travel experience
• Current AHA ACLS, BLS, PALS, NIHSS, and TNCC certifications
• Experience with EMR systems, specifically EPIC
• Driver's license with matching demographics
