Key Responsibilities of the ED Registered Nurse

• Deliver critical care to patients in the emergency department
• Manage a wide range of emergency cases including stroke, sepsis, trauma, and cardiac arrest
• Administer specialty medications and operate equipment such as rapid infusors and Arctic Sun
• Provide care across different patient age groups: newborns, pediatrics, adults, and geriatric
• Collaborate with the ED team to ensure high-quality patient outcomes
• Ensure proper documentation and communication during patient handoffs and transitions

Requirements of the ED Registered Nurse

• 2+ years of ED experience including pediatric and travel experience
• Active NY RN license verified through NURSYS
• Current AHA ACLS, BLS, PALS, NIHSS, and TNCC certifications
• Experience with EMR systems, specifically EPIC
• Drivers license with matching demographic address
• Skills checklist matching specialty
