WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR Simply put: HUMANS WHO CARE Though we do need to meet some minimum requirements for the position such a High School Diploma or Equivalent, we're really looking for people who bring their HEART to work. If you have previous experience as a janitor or housekeeper in a hospital or other large facility then your application to this position will be immediately moved to the shortlist of candidates. Ideally, you'll bring at least three (3) years of experience as a janitor or housekeeper in a healthcare or similar setting. The attention to detail in the cleanliness and sanitation of a hospital is paramount to achieving success in this role. You'll showcase strong cleaning safety skills and be able to meet deadlines surrounding a very schedule. Being able to adjust in the moment to achieve desired results is key to being a Housekeeper focused on Janitorial duties. That said, you'll need to be able to read and comprehend instructions regarding chemicals, cleaning devices, and standard operating procedures. A substantial amount of knowledge using commercial cleaning equipment will be of benefit to this role. You should have a current CPR certification when you apply or obtain certification prior to your start date. If you don't have a current CPR certification, just let us know and we'll make sure you get it before you start -- and even cover the cost for you. Additionally, you'll complete a "Handle-With-Care" Physical Restraint Technique Training during your orientation so that you know how and when to engage when such an event occurs. BBHH encourages ALL qualified persons to apply. The position is hourly, non-exempt, overtime-eligible position with a wage starting at $23.00 for all new hires. Automatic merit increases will apply annually based on annual evaluations.
