Job Description Crisis Therapist in the Adult Behavioral Health Program, Location: Southgate, MI Position Type: Permanent | Full-Time Compensation Full License: $29 – $39/hour Limited License: $27 – $37/hour (Grant-based salary – non‑negotiable) Position Summary The Crisis Therapist provides screening, assessment, crisis intervention, and transitional support services to adults diagnosed with serious mental illness and/or substance use disorders. Services are delivered via telehealth, in‑office, community‑based settings, and in coordination with local police departments. This role requires strong crisis assessment skills, the ability to determine the least restrictive level of care, and the capacity to provide trauma‑informed care in urgent situations. Key Responsibilities Provide crisis screening and assessment via telehealth for adults referred by local police Determine appropriate level of care and least restrictive setting Provide transitional support and care coordination until clients connect to ongoing services Respond immediately to crisis calls during scheduled on‑call hours Share daytime on‑call responsibilities with Adult Behavioral Health team Required Qualifications Education Master’s Degree in Social Work, Psychology, or Counseling Licensure (Michigan) LMSW, LLMSW, LPC, LLPC, LLP, or TLLP Must maintain active licensure Credential Requirements Must obtain QMHP and SATS credentials within 120 days Must hold CAADC OR be on approved MCBAP Development Plan within 6 weeks of hire Development Plan application must be submitted within 30 days Experience & Skills Experience working with adults diagnosed with serious mental illness and/or substance use disorders Strong crisis intervention skills Trauma‑informed care approach Ability to work independently Strong verbal and written communication skills Additional Information Mileage reimbursement at IRS rate ($0.70 per mile) Training provided and paid by The Guidance Center After‑hours stipend available No traditional on‑call requirement, but crisis coverage rotation required Benefits Medical, Dental, Vision Insurance 401(k) Paid Time Off Paid Holidays Flexible scheduling Team‑oriented work environment Company Description LanceSoft is rated as one of the largest staffing firms in the US by SIA.
