Director of Ecommerce Delivery (Denver)

We are looking for a Director of eCommerce Delivery to own delivery health, delivery intelligence, and Scrum Master coordination across our Residential, Business, and Mobile engineering teams.

This role will bring delivery data from multiple engineering pods into one consistent view, identify systemic issues before they impact releases, and provide leadership with clear, actionable insights for decision-making.

The Director will also lead and coach the Scrum Master organization, helping teams continuously improve how they plan, execute, measure, and deliver work as our operating model evolves.

This is a data-first, AI-native delivery leadership role . The focus is not simply on running ceremonies or tracking project status. It is on understanding what the delivery data is telling us, using automation and AI to surface risks and patterns, and turning that intelligence into better delivery outcomes.

Key Responsibilities

Delivery Intelligence & Reporting

• Own the overall delivery health reporting across Residential, Business, and Mobile engineering pods.
• Establish consistent delivery metrics, definitions, dashboards, and reporting standards across teams.
• Monitor delivery health, predictability, throughput, cycle time, dependencies, blockers, and release readiness.
• Identify systemic delivery issues and trends before they become significant problems.
• Build and maintain executive-level reporting that gives leadership a clear view of delivery performance and risks.
• Turn complex delivery data into concise insights and recommendations leadership can act on.
• Continuously improve delivery reporting through automation and data-driven practices.

Scrum Master Leadership & Coaching

• Provide day-to-day leadership, coordination, and coaching for Scrum Masters across engineering pods.
• Establish consistent expectations and operating practices for Scrum Masters while allowing teams appropriate flexibility.
• Coach Scrum Masters on facilitation, impediment removal, stakeholder management, delivery planning, and continuous improvement.
• Assess Scrum Master effectiveness and identify areas for development.
• Coordinate Scrum Master priorities across Residential, Business, and Mobile teams.
• Help Scrum Masters adapt as the organization's delivery model, team structures, and processes evolve.
• Identify recurring team-level issues that require broader organizational intervention.

AI-Native Delivery Operations

• Use AI and automation to improve delivery reporting, risk detection, forecasting, and operational efficiency.
• Identify opportunities to automate manual reporting, data collection, status tracking, and delivery analysis.
• Explore AI-assisted approaches to detect delivery risks, recurring blockers, dependency issues, and process bottlenecks.
• Establish practical standards for using AI to improve delivery visibility and decision-making.
• Continuously evaluate new AI capabilities that can improve how engineering delivery is measured and managed.

Cross-Organization Delivery Improvement

• Partner with Engineering, Product, Architecture, and other technology leaders to address systemic delivery challenges.
• Establish common delivery practices across teams without creating unnecessary process overhead.
• Facilitate cross-pod visibility into dependencies, risks, and delivery constraints.
• Help leadership understand where delivery problems originate and what actions are required to address them.
• Drive continuous improvement initiatives that increase delivery predictability, transparency, and efficiency.

Required Qualifications

• 12+ years of experience in Agile delivery, engineering delivery, program management, or a closely related field.
• Significant experience working with Scrum Masters and multiple engineering teams or delivery pods .
• Experience operating at a senior leadership level across multiple teams or business areas.
• Strong understanding of Agile, Scrum, Kanban, and modern software delivery practices.
• Demonstrated experience building or managing delivery metrics, dashboards, reporting, or delivery health frameworks.
• Strong analytical and data-driven mindset with the ability to identify patterns and systemic issues from delivery data.
• Experience coaching Scrum Masters and improving Agile delivery practices.
• Strong stakeholder management and executive communication skills.
• Experience working across Product, Engineering, and Technology organizations.
• Strong understanding of software development lifecycles, engineering dependencies, and release processes.
• Hands-on experience with delivery management and reporting tools such as Jira, Azure DevOps, or similar platforms.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience leading Scrum Masters or an Agile delivery organization.
• Experience supporting large-scale eCommerce, digital, telecommunications, or technology organizations.
• Experience consolidating delivery data across multiple engineering teams or products.
• Experience implementing delivery automation and executive-level delivery dashboards.
• Practical experience using AI tools and automation for delivery management, reporting, forecasting, or operational analysis.
• Experience identifying and addressing systemic organizational delivery problems rather than only team-level issues.
• Experience working in organizations undergoing Agile transformation or changes to their operating model.
