Put a skeptical jury, a plaintiff with a convincing story and an orthopedic expert with an opinion in the same room and you get some of the most instructive courtroom work there is. Bodily injury defense is where a lot of very good trial lawyers learned their craft.

I'm Ryan Jaiswal with Distinct Recruitment. I'm hiring a Litigation Attorney in Boca Raton for an insurance defense firm with an active bodily injury and personal injury defense practice.

Your role

• Defending bodily injury and personal injury claims arising from auto, premises and other incidents

• Owning your files and making the strategic calls on them

• Analyzing medical treatment and billing, and spotting where damages don't add up

• Deposing plaintiffs, treating physicians and medical experts

• Arguing motions and handling hearings

• Leading mediations and preparing cases for trial

• Trying cases, with real responsibility at counsel table

What you'll bring

• 2+ years of litigation experience

• Florida Bar admission

• Some exposure to BI or PI work helps, from either side

• Confidence cross examining medical witnesses, or the drive to get there

• A sensible approach to managing a busy caseload

The arrangement

• Hybrid working from Boca Raton

• 1,950 billable hours

• $125,000 to $200,000. It's a broad range, purposely, because the firm will look seriously at anyone from 2nd year associate to counsel
