About the Role

We’re looking for a highly organized, collaborative Freelance Production Coordinator to join the NowThis production team and help bring a wide range of editorial and revenue-driven content to life.

You’ll work closely with our Production Supervisor and Production Manager to coordinate productions from planning through execution. Our work moves quickly and can look very different from one day to the next — from quick man-on-the-street shoots and breaking news coverage to follow-docs, roundtable discussions, branded content, and larger-scale productions.

This role is ideal for someone who loves the details, stays calm when plans change, and genuinely enjoys being part of the process of making great content. You’ll help keep productions, people, schedules, vendors, and logistics moving in the right direction.

What You’ll Do

• Support the Production Management team across editorial and revenue projects, including production planning, talent assignments, shoot and post-production schedules, timelines, and budget tracking.
• Maintain and update production calendars, ensuring key dates and changes are communicated across teams.
• Serve as the on-site Production Manager for smaller-scale shoots, as needed.
• Support the coordination and booking of crew, vendors, locations, travel, and other production needs.
• Coordinate travel arrangements and create travel one-sheets for productions.
• Assist with shoot logistics, including call sheets, run-of-show documents, schedules, and on-set coordination.
• Support larger productions with production logistics and on-site coverage as needed.
• Help manage production expenses and reconcile transactions through Ramp.
• Track production costs and assist with budget reconciliation.
• Serve as a central point of communication between Production and other teams involved in video projects.
• Help coordinate talent and production needs while keeping projects organized and moving forward.
• Support production-related onboarding, paperwork, payroll packets, vendor payments, and other production office needs.
• Maintain organized production documentation and ensure key information is easy for the team to access.
• Identify opportunities to make production processes more efficient and help solve problems before they become bigger ones.
• Be willing to jump in wherever needed and take on additional responsibilities as productions evolve.

What We’re Looking For

• 2+ years of production coordination experience at a broadcast network, cable network, production company, digital media publisher, or similar environment.
• Experience supporting multiple productions or projects at the same time in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong organizational skills and exceptional attention to detail.
• Clear, confident communication skills and the ability to work effectively with a wide range of people.
• Ability to stay calm, flexible, and solutions-oriented when plans change — because they will.
• Experience coordinating complex projects and keeping timelines, logistics, and deliverables on track.
• Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to anticipate production needs.
• Ability to prioritize and manage multiple deadlines without losing sight of the details.
• A positive, collaborative attitude and willingness to jump in and help wherever needed.
• Strong commitment to editorial standards, guidelines, and best practices.
• Technical proficiency with Airtable and familiarity with digital production workflows and project management tools.
• Familiarity with production budgets, expenses, vendors, travel, and other production logistics.

Nice to Have

• Experience working in digital media, news, entertainment, or branded content.
• Experience supporting social-first or short-form video production.
• Experience working directly with talent, creators, or production vendors.
• Experience managing smaller shoots from pre-production through completion.
• Familiarity with Ramp or similar expense management platforms.
• Experience working with Airtable or similar production/project management systems.

Compensation & Benefits

The annual base salary for this position ranges from $1,300 to $1,500 weekly. An employee's position within this range will be determined based on several factors, including but not limited to: relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, geographic location, performance, travel requirements, revenue-based metrics, any contractual agreements, and business or organizational needs.
