Project Executive

Overview Position: Project Executive - Datacenter Location: Dallas Yates is an industry leader in construction services. This position will be responsible for Project Management related work for Data Center/Mission Critical projects of various sizes. The Construction PM will manage all aspects of a data center construction project and act as the company’s primary contact with the client to promote quality services and maintain positive client relations. The role includes overall management of subcontractors and oversight of major technical, cost, scheduling, and performance decisions during project implementation. Responsibilities Lead project management for data center/mission critical construction projects of varying sizes. Serve as the company’s primary client contact to promote quality services and maintain positive relations. Manage subcontractors and oversee major technical, cost, scheduling, and performance decisions. Provide field construction oversight during project implementation. Coordinate with architects, inspectors, and owner representatives to identify project issues and assist in developing solutions. Administer project policies and procedures and ensure adherence to safety and quality standards. Monitor project progress, formulate schedules, and oversee production to ensure timely completion. Review cost reports and analyze to reduce costs and maintain productivity. Establish and review project labor requirements with divisional management. Conduct regular project inspections and advise supervision on safety and quality concerns. Coordinate with subcontractors to ensure work aligns with project scope and specifications. Monitor purchasing activities to ensure quality materials and timely delivery at competitive costs. Lead regular project meetings and plan future construction activities. Ensure proper maintenance and utilization of construction equipment. Oversee quality control and safety programs on the project site. Qualifications Strong leadership, problem solving, analytical, prioritization, and organizational skills; detail-oriented. Proficiency with BIM, Primavera, Excel, Word, and MS Project. Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Proven ability to organize project teams to achieve goals; effective negotiation and contract management with owners. Broad knowledge across construction disciplines. 10 years of previous commercial construction management experience required. Experience on multiple medium to large datacenter projects ($100M+). Bachelor's Degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or related field. Leading safety culture for the project. Ability to control costs and maintain profitability using extensive heavy construction experience. Experience in field construction activity, engineering, and support activities. Ability to supervise the development of project schedules and monitor progress to ensure timely completion. Ability to identify and address safety concerns; conduct regular safety meetings. Experience coordinating with architects, inspectors, and owners to resolve project issues. Oversight of quality control and regulatory compliance.
