Multifamily General Contractor hiring a Project Manager for a $60M project in the DC area

Your new company:

A newly established general contractor with presence across DC, VA and MD are looking to hire a Project Manager with multifamily construction experience to join their successful team. This company have an excellent reputation and are hiring for multifamily construction projects ranging $50M-85M, with a strong pipeline of new construction projects starting in the next 3-6 months. Successful applicants will have new construction multifamily experience, open to wood-frame or concrete experience.

Your new role:

As a Project Manager you will provide administrative and project management support to a seasoned Project Executive on a Multifamily developmen. The mid-long term goal for this position would be to coach you to stage of where you are being provided your own projects and move into a Senior Project Manager position. Performance reviews are frequent including an annual promotion and salary assessment.

Your task is to support the team to ensure that targets set for the project are completed to the required standard of quality and within the set time and budget. You will be involved in a variety of tasks including project scheduling, bidding, take-offs, procurement and cost controls; as well as the management of RFI's, submittals and change orders.

What you'll need to succeed:

• 8+ years' experience working in the construction industry for a general contractor as a Project Manager.
• Experience in commercial construction, with a high preference for multifamily construction experience, open to wood-frame or concrete experience.
• Bachelor's degree in a construction related discipline preferred but not essential. Client will look at just work experience.
• This is a fast-paced position so you will need to be able to multi-task and be an excellent communicator and able to work with different personalities and levels of seniority within an organization.
• Candidates must be able to be in the office 5 days a week in Washington DC.
• Successful candidates will need to be US Citizens, no sponsorship opportunities are available for this particular role.
