Seneca Global Services, LLC is seeking a full-time Army Environmental Audit Support Specialist to support ODASA(ESOH) as the Army works toward an unmodified audit opinion. The specialist will support efforts to document, track, analyze, and improve activities associated with the completeness, accuracy, and reliability of Army financial data related to Environmental and Disposal Liabilities.

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to :

• Support staff in meeting timelines for audit deliverables and related tasks.
• Maintain current audit documentation and tools in Microsoft Teams.
• Recommend process and documentation improvements based on audit requirements and opportunities to improve efficiency and transparency.
• Review assets, key supporting documentation, and system records.
• Support accounting and financial reporting operations, standardization initiatives, analyses, data calls, and compilation of financial statement information.
• Develop reports, in-progress reviews, metrics, dashboards, and status reporting.
• Prepare presentations and briefings and participate in program meetings.
• Contribute to development of deliverables, reporting metrics, and training.
• Review work products for technical accuracy, formatting, and quality consistent with Army standards, including AR 25-50.

Basic Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, business administration, public administration, economics, information systems, environmental science/management, or related field; or equivalent relevant experience.
• 3–5 years supporting financial-statement audit, FIAR/audit remediation, internal controls, federal financial reporting, and/or environmental liabilities.
• Experience reviewing assets, system records, and key supporting documentation and helping staff meet audit deliverable timelines.
• Strong written and verbal communication; ability to prepare briefings, metrics, and reports consistent with Army standards (including AR 25-50).
• Advanced Microsoft Excel; proficiency with PowerPoint and Word.
• Experience maintaining controlled documentation in Microsoft Teams (or similar).
• Ability to work effectively with personnel at all organizational levels.
• Ability to obtain a Secret clearance.
• Ability to travel as required.

Desired Skills:

• Knowledge of DoD/Army financial audit guidance: DoD FMR (especially Vol. 4, Ch. 13), FIAR, GAAP/FASAB, SFFAS 5 and 6, Technical Releases 2 and 11, ICOFR, GAGAS, and OMB circulars.
• Knowledge of Inventory & Related Property standards (SFFAS 3 and 48, SSAE 18), if applicable to the portfolio.
• Direct Environmental and Disposal Liabilities experience, including asset-driven and/or event-driven liabilities.
• Experience with Army environmental cleanup programs (CERCLA, RCRA, DERP) and cost-to-complete or liability estimate support.
• Experience responding to IPA/auditor requests, NFRs, and data calls.
• SharePoint, Power BI, Visio, Approvals, and related Microsoft 365 tools.
• CPA, CGFM, CDFM, or equivalent.
