Job Title: Electrician Assistant

Join our dynamic team as an Electrician Assistant, where you will have the opportunity to learn and grow within the field of electrical work. Initially, you will spend two months in our fabrication shop, learning and pulling wires. Subsequently, you will work alongside a lead electrician on commercial sites to further hone your skills in this trade.

Responsibilities

• Assist in assembling electrical control panels.
• Engage in electrical construction and wiring tasks.
• Learn to pull wires, install conduits, and perform other electrical tasks.
• Support lead electricians on commercial sites, learning hands-on skills such as installing lights, feeders, and cabling power distribution equipment.

• High School Diploma.
• Willingness to learn and adapt quickly.
• Ability to follow job rules, work hours, and safe working practices.

• No prior experience required.
• Respectful demeanor and understanding of the chain of command.

Upon completion of our pre-apprenticeship program, you will be required to enroll in a 4-year apprenticeship program through the International Electrical Contractors (IEC). This presents an excellent long-term career opportunity as it prepares you for the Journeyman license. We support your growth by reimbursing the upfront costs of the apprenticeship program upon successful completion each year.

Work Environment

Work on a variety of construction projects throughout the DC Metro area. You will be paired with experienced journeyman electricians who will provide hands-on training. The work environment does not require personal protective equipment (PPE).
