Job Title: Window Installer Job Description

The Service Technician is responsible for on-site diagnostics, repairs, and adjustments to windows, doors, and other products. This role involves troubleshooting, performing repairs, and ensuring customer satisfaction through effective communication and quality service.

• Conduct on-site diagnostics and repairs for windows and doors.
• Perform troubleshooting to identify and resolve installation issues.
• Ensure customer satisfaction through effective communication and quality service.
• Use technology, such as an iPad, to complete work orders and take notes per visit.

• Experience with window installation.
• Ability to read a tape measure accurately.
• Customer service experience with a focus on customer-facing roles.
• Proficiency with technology, especially using an iPad.
• Good driving record.

• Carpentry and finish carpentry skills.
• Experience with hand and power tools, such as nail guns, staple guns, hammers, and saws.
• Ability to calculate measurements in feet and inches, as well as other units.
• Strong verbal communication skills.
• Ability to read and understand written and oral instructions.

Work primarily during the day shift from 7am to as late as 6pm, Monday to Friday, with little to no Saturdays. Begin your day by gathering tools at the shop and travel primarily within Western Michigan, with occasional trips to Lansing or Northern Michigan. Expect to work both indoors and outdoors, so dress appropriately for the weather. Enjoy working independently, handling 4 to 6 assignments per day, with no emergency on-call duties.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Grand Rapids, MI.

The pay range for this position is $25.00 - $27.00/hr.

Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.

This is a fully onsite position in Grand Rapids,MI.
