Assistant or Associate Professor of Social Work

Application Deadline October 2, 2026 Position Details This full‑time faculty position is on‑campus and in‑person. The Department of Social Work at Texas Christian University seeks new scholars to help build on our history of success in our thriving BSW and MSW programs, and who are willing to contribute to interdisciplinary, interprofessional, and community‑engaged teaching, scholarship, research, and service. We are seeking to fill a tenure‑track faculty position at the Assistant or Associate Professor level. This full‑time, nine‑month tenure‑track position will begin in August 2027. Responsibilities Teach 2–3 courses across the BSW and MSW programs, both in‑person and online. Maintain an active research agenda. Engage in university and professional service. Qualifications PhD in Social Work or a closely related field conferred by the start of the appointment. Master’s degree in Social Work from a CSWE accredited program. Evidence of a strong scholarly record (peer‑reviewed publications, dissertation, monographs, book chapters). Evidence of effective teaching (student evaluations, peer evaluations, mentor evaluations). Minimum two years of post‑MSW practice experience (preferred). Ability to apply for and secure external research funding (preferred). Ability to teach in both the BSW and MSW programs, in‑person and online (preferred). Experience developing and maintaining community partnerships (preferred).
