Junior System AdministratorThe Junior System Administrator provides day-to-day technical and process support for the enterprise storage use case program. This role helps onboard new use cases into the storage platform, validates that required metadata parameters are configured correctly, supports retention and policy setup, and maintains accurate operational documentation for each use case. The position is intended for a detail-oriented early-career administrator who can follow defined standards, coordinate with multiple teams, and help ensure storage use cases remain supportable, searchable, compliant, and operationally stable.Key ResponsibilitiesCoordinate intake for new storage use cases, including collecting required business, site, system, retention, and technical information from use case owners.Maintain use case records, onboarding checklists, configuration details, approvals, and operational status in the designated repository or service management system.Assist in configuring or validating metadata parameters that support image/file search, retention, retrieval, traceability, and long-term operational use.Validate that use case owners have configured required metadata within their process data source, vision system, or related upstream system before production onboarding.Support setup of policy and rule templates for individual use cases, including retention period, storage tiering behavior, naming conventions, folder/share structure, and access requirements.Collaborate with server, storage, application, network, data services, and site teams to prepare infrastructure dependencies for new use cases.Support ITSM request workflows for new onboarding requests, use case changes, access requests, retention changes, and operational support issues.Monitor operational health indicators such as storage capacity, data movement status, failed jobs, metadata completeness, and recurring support issues.
