About the Opportunity
Join a rapidly growing MEP consulting engineering firm specializing in healthcare, commercial, industrial, and institutional projects. This is an opportunity for an experienced Professional Engineer to serve as a key technical leader, influencing project success, mentoring engineering teams, and contributing to the firm's continued growth.
- Seeking a licensed Mechanical Professional Engineer with 6-15 years of MEP consulting engineering experience to lead the design of healthcare and commercial building projects.
- The ideal candidate will manage projects from proposal through construction while collaborating with clients, architects, contractors, and internal design teams.
- Lead Senior Mechanical Engineer
- Prepare construction documents for mechanical building systems.
- Perform engineering calculations and ensure code compliance.
- Coordinate with architects, owners, contractors, and multidisciplinary engineering teams.
- Review drawings and specifications for quality and accuracy.
- Mentor junior engineers and provide technical leadership.
- Participate in project meetings, site visits, and construction administration.
- Manage multiple projects while meeting schedules and budgets.
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering.
- Active Professional Engineer (P.E.) license.
- 6-15 years of MEP consulting engineering experience.
- Strong knowledge of applicable mechanical codes, NFPA standards, and the Florida Building Code.
- Experience designing commercial building mechanical systems.
- Proficiency with Autodesk Revit and AutoCAD.
- Excellent communication, organizational, and project management skills.
- Healthcare facility design experience.
- Experience with hospitals and emergency power systems.
- Familiarity with SKM, EasyPower, or similar engineering analysis software.
- Previous mentoring or leadership experience.
