Compensation RangeAnnual Salary: $130,900.00 - $206,250.00 (Amount based on relevant experience, skills, and competencies.)About This JobThe main purpose of this job is to manage and service a portfolio of commercial customers, including expanding, building and maintaining strong customer relationships with a resulting high level of customer satisfaction.Essential FunctionsServe as the primary advisor for commercial relationships, while ensuring a high level of customer satisfaction and retentionEvaluate customer service requests for existing relationships, including loan renewals and modificationsAssist the Regional Managers on credit requests, including: general underwriting, loan structuring, negotiating/pricing, collateral, and analyzing industry/credit riskPrepare loan booking requirements, including: negotiating terms, the review of loan documentation and assisting in the closing processManage annual credit review schedule for team of Relationship ManagersPrepare loan presentations and credit reviews as necessaryMaintain loan reporting, including: such things as past dues, documentation and collateral exceptions, financial performance updates, portfolio profitability, etcAssist respective Regional Mangers in the credit management of all watch list creditsEnsure compliance with all Bank policies, procedures, regulations, and lawsPerform other duties as assignedKnowledge, Skills & Abilities RequiredStrong knowledge of commercial banking fieldStrong knowledge of commercial products, credit policies, procedures and terminologyAbility to maintain a valid driver’s license and meet Commerce Bank’s driving record criteria; ongoing employment may be contingent upon meeting all driving requirementsExcellent analytical and problem-solving skillsExcellent presentation skillsStrong decision making skillsAbility to use a high degree of critical thinking skills in managing a large portfolio of diverse and complex commercial relationshipsMotivated and organized self-starter with strong attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple prioritiesInquisitive, agile and strong team player with excellent written, verbal and interpersonal communication skillsAbility to remain adaptable and resilient to all situations with an optimistic outlook and cast a positive shadow that is aligned with our culture and Core ValuesIntermediate proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel and OutlookEducation & ExperienceBachelor’s degree in Business Administration, or equivalent combination of education and experience required5+ years of commercial banking experience required For this position, federal regulations require Commerce Bank to prepare an investigatory consumer report which will disclose credit history. The disclosed range estimate has been adjusted for any applicable differentials (geographic, bilingual, or shift) that could be associated with the position or where it is filled. At Commerce, compensation decisions are dependent on the facts and circumstances of each situation. A reasonable estimate of the current base pay is $130,900 to $206,250 annually.
