Allied Technician - Physical Therapist

Physical Therapist
Physical therapists (PTs) are licensed health care professionals dedicated to helping patients alleviate pain and enhance or restore mobility. They play a crucial role in teaching patients strategies for managing their conditions effectively, leading to long-term health benefits.
PTs conduct thorough examinations of individuals to develop personalized treatment plans tailored to promote movement, reduce pain, restore function, and prevent disabilities. In addition, they work proactively with clients to prevent the loss of mobility by designing fitness and wellness programs that encourage healthier and more active lifestyles.
Physical therapists deliver care across a range of settings, including:
- Hospitals
- Private practices
- Outpatient clinics
- Home health agencies
- Schools
- Sports and fitness facilities
- Workplaces
- Nursing homes
Qualifications:
- Must possess a valid state license to practice as a physical therapist.
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification is required.
- Experience in In-Patient Rehab, Skilled Nursing Units (SNU), and Acute Care settings is essential.
- Candidates are expected to have experience with electronic medical records (EMR), specifically Cerner.
Work Schedule:
- Monday to Friday from 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM.
- Availability to work 2 weekends, either Sunday through Thursday or Tuesday through Saturday is required.
- Ability to work holidays is a must.
Additionally, physical therapists may be required to float to acute care settings as needed, ensuring comprehensive patient care across various environments.
