Express Employment Professionals is seeking candidates for a local company looking for an experienced Accountant . This role is responsible for supporting day-to-day accounting operations, maintaining accurate financial records, and assisting with financial reporting and compliance activities.


The Accountant will handle a variety of general accounting functions including financial reporting support, reconciliations, payroll assistance, and AP/AR oversight. This role works closely with management to ensure accuracy, organization, and timeliness of all financial data and reporting.


Responsibilities

• Assist with month-end and year-end close processes.
• Prepare, review, and analyze financial statements and reports.
• Reconcile bank accounts, general ledger accounts, and supporting schedules.
• Maintain accurate and organized financial records.
• Ensure compliance with accounting policies, procedures, and internal controls.
• Review accounts payable and accounts receivable activities.
• Assist with payroll processing and related payroll tax filings.
• Support improvements to accounting processes and efficiency.
• Perform additional accounting duties as assigned.

Qualifications

• Associate's degree in Accounting or related field preferred.
• Strong understanding of accounting principles and financial reporting.
• Knowledge of payroll processing and payroll tax filings.
• Experience with QuickBooks required; ComputerEase experience is a plus.
• Strong attention to detail, accuracy, and organization.
• Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
