Staff Accountant

Staff Accountant Location: White Plains (Onsite) Reports To: Chief Financial Officer (CFO) Compensation: $75,000 – $85,000 Overview We are seeking a detail-oriented Staff Accountant to join a growing healthcare organization in White Plains, NY. This role will support the CFO in managing core accounting functions, including month-end close, financial reporting, and compliance. The ideal candidate has a strong foundation in accounting within a medical, healthcare, or professional services environment and enjoys working cross-functionally to support accurate financial operations. Key Responsibilities Assist with the preparation of monthly financial statements, including the balance sheet and income statement Manage month-end close processes, including reconciliations, journal entries, and accruals Analyze revenue, expenses, and departmental budgets to support financial decision-making Support billing and revenue cycle accounting, including coordination with billing teams Ensure compliance with internal controls, policies, and healthcare-related financial regulations Partner with operations and department leaders to monitor financial performance and variances Assist with audits and provide necessary documentation to external auditors Maintain general ledger accuracy and support account reconciliations Identify opportunities to improve accounting processes and reporting efficiency Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance required 5–8+ years of accounting experience, preferably within healthcare, medical practice, or professional services Experience with general ledger, financial reporting, and month-end close Familiarity with healthcare billing or revenue cycle processes is a plus Experience with ERP/accounting systems (NetSuite, Oracle, or similar) Strong Excel skills Detail-oriented with strong analytical and communication skills #INMAY2026 EB-8516442879 #J-18808-Ljbffr
