Position Overview The General/Area Manager is responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations, profitability, and growth of multiple rental locations. The General Manager will be responsible for driving operational excellence, maximizing profitability, ensuring superior customer service, and developing high-performing teams at each branch. This role requires strong leadership, strategic planning, and hands-on management to meet performance targets and support growth initiatives. Key Responsibilities: Operational Leadership Oversee and manage daily operations across assigned rental branches. Ensure locations meet company standards for cleanliness, vehicle quality, and customer service. Monitor fleet availability, utilization, and maintenance schedules to maximize revenue. Implement operational policies and ensure all staff adhere to safety, legal, and company guidelines. Financial & Business Performance Achieve revenue, profit, and growth targets for assigned locations. Analyze financial reports, KPIs, and market trends to optimize pricing and fleet allocation. Control expenses through efficient budgeting and resource management. Identify new business opportunities, partnerships, and expansion possibilities. Team Management Recruit, train, and develop branch managers and staff. Set performance goals, conduct reviews, and implement incentive programs. Foster a culture of accountability, teamwork, and high performance. Resolve escalated customer issues and operational challenges. Customer Experience Ensure all locations consistently deliver excellent customer service. Monitor customer satisfaction scores, NPS (Net Promoter Score), and online reviews. Implement strategies to increase repeat business and customer loyalty. Compliance & Risk Management Ensure compliance with all local laws, insurance regulations, and company policies. Oversee accident, damage, and claims processes. Monitor and enforce proper vehicle inspection and documentation procedures. Qualifications & Skills: Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Management, or related field (preferred). 5+ years of experience in car rental, automotive, hospitality, or similar operations, including multi-location management. Proven leadership skills with the ability to manage diverse teams. Strong understanding of fleet management, pricing strategies, and operational KPIs. Excellent problem-solving, negotiation, and decision-making skills. Proficiency in MS Office and rental management software. Valid driver’s license and clean driving record.
