Production Manager - Food

Production Manager
Lead daily production operations across 1st and 2nd shifts, ensuring safety, quality, productivity, and efficiency goals are met. Manage production startup, scheduling, and shift readiness to support seamless operations. Monitor labor, yields, and operational costs, identifying opportunities to improve performance and reduce waste. Drive continuous improvement initiatives focused on operational excellence and process optimization. Lead, coach, and develop a team of Production Supervisors, Team Leads, and production personnel. Foster strong communication and collaboration between shifts to ensure alignment and accountability. Partner with Maintenance, Sanitation, and Quality teams to ensure equipment reliability and production readiness. Support workforce planning and staffing to meet production demands and business objectives. Ensure compliance with all food safety, quality, and regulatory standards, including HACCP, GMP, SQF, and BRC requirements. Report directly to the Vice President and provide leadership for a high-volume food manufacturing operation.
Required: Bilingual English/Spanish. Significant manufacturing or production leadership experience in a food manufacturing environment. Strong people management, communication, and problem-solving skills. Experience managing multiple shifts and leading cross-functional teams. Knowledge of food safety, quality systems, and regulatory compliance requirements.
Preferred: Bachelor's degree in Operations Management, Engineering, Food Science, Business, or a related field. Alternatively, 15+ years of relevant manufacturing or production leadership experience. Experience with: HACCP, SQF, BRC, GMPs, Safety programs, Six Sigma and Continuous Improvement methodologies.
