Office of Adult, Aging and Disability Services CO State Veterans Community Living Center at Rifle The Colorado State Veterans Community Living Center at Rifle is located on Colorado's western slope in the scenic Colorado River valley. Rifle offers a mild climate, with plenty of clean mountain air and beautiful blue skies. Amidst this setting, the State Veterans Community Living Center at Rifle provides 89 beds of skilled nursing care, including a 18-bed Special Care Unit for residents with Alzheimer's Disease or related conditions. Serving veterans, their spouse and eligible "Gold Star" parents, we are committed to caring for the whole person by addressing the personal and social needs of each resident, as well as their physical and medical requirements. Description of Job

You are required to work at your assigned work location during your scheduled work times. Day or Evening shifts available Please note: Work arrangements are subject to change at any time. The purpose of this work unit is to honor and respect those living and working in our home through companionship, empowerment and individualized care while providing a comfortable and safe place. Primary Job Duties This position exists to provide professional services to the facility residents, which include assessment and specialized nursing care consistent with the standards of the profession, legal and regulatory requirements.

Minimum Qualifications, Substitutions, Conditions of Employment & Appeal Rights

Education/Licensure/Certification/Experience: Current, valid licensure as a Registered Nurse from the Colorado Board of Nursing or any state participating in the Enhanced Nurse Licensure Compact (eNLC) No Substitutions Conditions of Employment: Current and Active RN License renewal required. Must be willing to submit to a full background check This position requires travel to conferences and industry specific trainings/meetings. Must possess a drivers' license Must be willing to test for Tuberculosis (TB) test This position has shift work: day, evening and night shifts to include holiday and weekend as needed. This position requires on-call rotation as defined in the facility protocol. Employment history is calculated on a full-time basis (40/hrs per week). Part-time employment is calculated on a prorated basis to determine qualifications.
