Custodian (PM Shift)

We're looking for a Custodian for our PM shift by assisting the company with maintaining a clean, organized, functional, and secure building.


This position is based in our Jersey City, NJ office and will report to the Senior Workplace Manager . The shift schedule is Monday-Friday from 2pm-10:30pm.


Onsite Requirement:

This role requires you to be onsite in the office 5 days per week.


What You'll Do:

• Performs general, routine custodial duties, to include dusting, mopping, vacuuming, cleaning restrooms, and restocking paper and soap supplies.
  
• Perform daily, weekly and monthly cleaning tasks
  
• Assist in setup and breakdown of events and meetings
  
• Work with Facilities, Workplace, and Operations to ensure office needs are met
  
• Respond to tickets and requests from other departments
  
• Be able to read chemical SDS (SAFETY DATA SHEET)
  
• Other duties as assigned
  

Who You Are:

• Custodial experience preferred but not required
  
• Can prioritize tasks given during scheduled work shift
  
• Be detail-oriented with evaluating inventory of supplies
  
• Have a strong attention to detail with custodial tasks including cleanliness and sanitation practices
  
• Flexibility to adjust to schedule/requirement changes.
  

Physical Requirements:

• Computer Use : Typing, mouse work, and sitting and looking at a computer potentially for long periods of time.
  
• Hand Use : Regular hand use for various tasks.
  
• Hearing Requirements: Ability to hear alarms, signals, and verbal instructions.
  
• Lifting and Carrying: Ability to lift, carry, and move materials up to 25 pounds.
  
• Phone Answering: Talking on the phone and texting may be required, as well as manual dexterity to operate a computer and phone system efficiently.
  
• Sitting or Standing: Ability to sit or stand for extended periods of time.
  

Hourly Rate: The reasonable estimated hourly rate for this position is $19. Actual compensation varies based on a variety of non-discriminatory factors, including location, job level, prior experience and skill set. Shift 2 workers are also eligible for an additional $1/hr premium, in addition to their standard hourly rate.
