Professional Learning Specialist

Overview Professional Learning Specialist at Imagine Learning. Remote-friendly role supporting Kern High School District in Bakersfield or the Central California region, with onsite work four days per week and travel within the Central California region as needed. Position information: regular, full-time, reporting to the Professional Learning Solutions Director. Location is remote with onsite requirements in Bakersfield/Central California region. Travel is required primarily within the region. Responsibilities Deliver fee-based, engaging, small and large group presentations (in person and virtual) centered on district/school teaching and learning recommendations while modeling instructional best practices. Develop professional learning plans and implement strategies to support clients from initial interest to renewal. Prepare presentations including session outcomes, customized delivery materials, and travel confirmations. Submit training requests, update and maintain customer records with session summaries and next-step recommendations. Collaborate with internal teams (Customer Service and Sales) and respond to internal/external communications as part of a matrixed service team. Engage in a solutions-focused professional learning community to share best practices, learn new skills, and deliver impactful professional learning. Manage multiple districts and projects, aligning delivery with seasonal activity and forecasting needs. Maintain flexibility to work hours and travel, including overnight travel up to 3 nights per week during peak periods (potentially up to 4–5 nights); drive with a valid license and acceptable driving record. Fulfill other responsibilities as needed to support team objectives. Perform other duties as required. Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in education or a related field; at least 5 years’ experience with blended and/or online learning; master’s degree in education, Educational Technology, or a related field preferred. Current teaching certification or prior teaching experience required. Experience with supplemental products (Edgenuity, Imagine Language & Literacy, Imagine Math, Imagine My-Path, Imagine Espanol, etc.) is strongly preferred for Professional Learning Specialists. Proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, Zoom, and Teams. Experience delivering successful professional development, training, or consulting in an educational environment. Strong multitasking, project management, and proactive problem-solving abilities. Self-starter with excellent organizational and time management skills, able to handle multiple priorities with demanding timeframes. Ability to collaborate effectively with colleagues to create a high-quality, results-driven, team-oriented environment.
