Software Developer Intern

About the Role

Our engineering team in Champaign, Illinois is seeking talented undergraduate and graduate students to tackle a variety of projects for clients across the financial services and capital markets landscape.

As a Software Developer Intern , you'll work in a group on large-scale, high-performance systems that power critical trading and risk workflows. Experience with Java , C# , Python , Rust , or C++ is ideal, as is an interest in financial engineering or capital markets systems.

What You'll Do

Work on focused projects / feature development for financial trade processing, risk management, or data integration products.
Collaborate closely with quantitative and data engineering teams to enhance system performance and scalability.
Contribute to automation and tooling to increase system reliability and reduce latency.

What We're Looking For

Programming Expertise: Experience in Java, C#, C++, Python, Rust, or another complex programming language. Real-world experience is preferred but not required.
Domain Knowledge: Interest or background in financial services, trading systems, or quantitative software.
Education: Active pursuit of an undergraduate or graduate degree in Computer Science or a related degree program. 2+ years of undergraduate education Computer Science or a related major. Current undergraduate GPA of 3.5+ (on a 4-point scale).
Mindset: Analytical, curious, and self-directed, with strong problem-solving and collaboration skills.
