Job Title: Entry Level Trainee - Aerospace Manufacturing Company

This entry-level position offers an exciting opportunity to gain hands-on experience in aircraft manufacturing processes. The role involves working in a team environment under direct supervision to perform structural assembly operations.

Responsibilities

• Perform one or more of the following composite part manufacturing functions: lay-up, cutting, bagging, autoclave, in a production environment.
• Ensure parts and work content meet the instructions of assigned manufacturing employees and/or Quality Control Inspectors.
• Learn to read work orders, blueprints, and specification sheets to determine sequence of operation and work requirements.
• Align and assemble parts to be riveted using holding fixtures, pins, clamps, and fasteners.
• Observe and assist to become familiar with parts and assemblies, then work with decreasing supervision as experience is gained.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Essential Skills

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Strong mechanical aptitude.
• Ability to read, write, speak, and understand the English language.
• Listening and computer keyboard skills.
• Proficiency in current personal computer-based software.
• Must be able to lift and transport objects up to 40 pounds.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• Enrollment in a Technical Aviation program preferred.
• Ability to read a scale and perform basic shop math.
• Read and comprehend basic documents and instructions.
• Aptitude for hands-on craftwork.
• Professional attitude and attention to detail.
• Ability to work with people and meet demanding schedules.
• Good housekeeping and safety practices.
• Must be available to work any shift.

Work Environment

• The position is based in a production environment with a second shift schedule from Monday to Thursday, with overtime on Friday and Saturday.
• Typical hours are from 4pm-2:30AM
• Training will be provided on the first shift for several weeks.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Savannah, GA.

The pay range for this position is $19.29 - $19.29/hr.
