We are a float pool, and our goal is to provide flexible staffing. We provide broad exposure to different patient populations as we support all 36+ inpatient nursing units including adults, pediatrics, and women's health. Culturally, we are a very close-knit group despite our size. We pride ourselves in getting to know each team memberindividuallyand we try to personally acknowledge/support individuals on our team.

Scope ofwork

Provides care to the patient according to the plan of care, unit routine and hospital policy under the direction of a Registered Nurse.Safe transport of patients via wheelchair or stretcher, dispatchservicesandappropriate documentationof services. Provides the services of an Observer for any patient on a patient care unit who has been assessed to require constant observation, either in person or via remote video monitoring, to maximize his/her safety. Performs general receptionist and clerical duties tofacilitateefficient functioning of the nursing unit. Documentation of care provided in the electronic medical record.

Qualifications

• High school graduate or equivalent

• Previoushospital or nursing home experiencepreferred

• American Heart Association or American Red Cross Basic Life Supportrequired

• Current CNA certificationpreferred
