Neuropsychologist II - Greenspring - Hiring Incentive

OverviewThe Neuropsychologist II will provide neuropsychological assessments and, as needed, psychological consultation and treatment services to individuals served by the Center for Autism Services, Science, and Innovation (CASSI, formerly known as the Center for Autism and Related Disorders, or CARD); teach and provide supervision to staff psychologists and trainees; initiate and participate in innovative programs; design and conduct formal courses and workshops; and participate in research activities. Primary clinical responsibilities will be for individuals ages 2 years through young adult; although services may be provided to individuals from birth throughout the lifespan.*$5000 Hiring IncentiveResponsibilitiesSelect, administer, and score psychological tests to assess intellectual functioning, neuropsychological status, personality structure, interest, aptitudes, academic achievement. Interpret test findings based upon current research in neuropsychological assessment and available evidence-based approaches. Write comprehensive reports regarding diagnostic interpretations and next step management/strategy plans.Participate in weekly case conferences to discuss and evaluate the diagnoses and treatment/management of patients and formulate rehabilitation plans.Provide interpretative information to parents and/or primary caregivers (including teachers, therapists); may provide short-term counseling to parents for effecting changes in child management.Conduct intake interviews to ascertain the needs of clients and document the results interview.Participate in the training of predoctoral and postdoctoral trainees in psychology and trainees from other disciplines in principles of psychology with emphasis on assessment and intervention for individuals with neurodevelopmental disorders.Assist the Supervising Neuropsychologist and Clinical Director in the development of clinical initiatives.Enter results from all psychological and/or neuropsychological evaluations into the Neuropsychology Department database.Enter reports into the KKI Electronic Health Record (EHR) system. Maintain productivity standards.Maintain documentation and reporting standards. Participate in research projects within the CASSI, or together with other Departments and disciplines.QualificationsQUALIFICATIONS:Licensure as a psychologist in Maryland is required.Credentialed as a Licensed Psychologist by the KKI Medical Staff, with specialty privilege in Clinical Neuropsychology.EDUCATION:Doctoral degree in Psychology from an APA/CPA-accredited college or university is required.Completion of APA/CPA-accredited pre-doctoral internship is required.Two-year postdoctoral residency in clinical neuropsychology is required. EXPERIENCE:Minimum of 2 years experience in working with a population of children with intellectual/neurodevelopmental disabilities.
