As a Security Officer at a utilities location, you will conduct routine patrols, maintain a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents, and provide outstanding customer service and communication. This is a driving post requiring a valid driver’s license in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy. Position Type: Part Time Pay Rate: $24.00 / Hour Job Schedule: DayTimeSat10:00 PM - 06:00 AMSun10:00 PM - 06:00 AM What You'll Do: Provide customer service to personnel, visitors, and contractors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities as appropriate. Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, promptly notifying appropriate site contacts and/or emergency services when required. Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of utility operations areas, buildings, access points, and perimeter locations to help deter unauthorized activity and identify unusual conditions. Monitor access to the location, verify visitor and contractor authorization in accordance with site procedures, and maintain accurate activity and incident reports. Support continuity of utility operations by observing for potential hazards, equipment concerns, and restricted-area violations and reporting findings to designated personnel. Minimum Requirements: At least two years of security-related experience is required. A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements. A Guard Card or license is preferred. Customer service experience is preferred. Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles. Possess a high school diploma or equivalent. As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
